John J. Lynch Junior High School
Class of 1953

Forward

Congratulations to the Class of Nineteen Hundred Fifty-Three upon the completion of your years in junior high school. Congratulations, too, on the production of this yearbook, "The Crossroads".

Truly yours is a class with many distinctions. You were the last Junior III class to attend the Highland and Joseph Metcalf Junior High Schools; and, after that never-to-be-forgotten moving day on the eleventh of February, you became the first Junior Three class in the new John J. Lynch School.

You have established our first Student Council, our first Honor Society and an entirely new unit, our Student Guides. You have published the first editions of our school magazine, The Echo, and of our yearbook, The Crossroads. Your co-operative attitude, your innate courtesy, your ability to take over in emergencies, your efficiency in the management of the affairs of your class and of the school, and your all-around conduct in the new school, all these have made you a model class worthy of imitation by all pupils who will follow after you in this school.

May these same attitudes, ideals and characteristics guide you through the years to come; and may they bring to you happiness and success in the days that lie ahead.
