Opened on Degree of, Master Mason. The officers wore the new aprons, and refinished regalia for the first time and the appearance, was a decidedly pleasing change from the old. The Wor. Master called for volunteers for air patrol service for, Saturday nights from 6 P.M. to 6 A. M. Sunday, at Scott Tower. This was one of the services the community was asked to perform as a precaution against air raids. Other organizations were assigned other nights and daytime but it is satisfying to us at least to be able to say at this time when the war all over and we are all again pursuing the even tenor of our ways that the Masons were the only society that faithfully carried out their assignment to the end.
During the past ten years the membership had steadily lessened due to the marked depression our country had passed through. The annual report of the Secretary showed a gain of eight members over the previous year and since that time up to now we have added two hundred names to our membership.
