ROBERT JOSEPH WASHINGTON

At one time or another, when walking about the hallowed halls of Metcalf, you probably heard someone call — George! George Washington!! No, you weren't in an asylum; nor were you back in the year 1776. For the person being paged was not George Washington, Father of Our Country, but our own Robert Washington, who was called "George" by all. Our George was active in sports especially football; he built modern ships and air-planes, and, was a wonderful dancer-(just ask any one of the girls.)

BARBARA ANN WHEATLEY

A quiet but friendly lass, "Babs" has been a lovely ray of sunshine to all of us. When you see someone whirl in front of you during a square dance, it's Barbara, as she is usually found at these affairs. Besides this, she enjoys swimming, skating and the movies. When she is not busy at these activities, she whiles away her time collecting figurines for her knick-knac collection.

ESTHER MARGARET WHITMORE

This likable little lass has earned herself a place in every school activity around Metcalf. She was a member of the Student Council, was co-editor of a column in the Metcalf News, a member on the staff of the Annual, and she a member of the National Junior Honor Society. Because of her magnetic personality, winning smile, and sweet disposition, "Eddie" was elected one of our cheerleaders.

RICHARD VELMORE WING

Rather, let us say, "The Richard" Wing has been a credit to Metcalf with his contributions to the Metcalf News and to the National Honor Society. He has always been an ardent rooter for all the school activites. Track and Dramatics are his favorite pastimes. We will always remember his stellar performance in the Jr. III L. Minstrel his radio performance, and his part in "The Big Show."
