This stone is misplaced and contains inaccurate and incomplete information.

The grave of Daniel Ludington, Revolutionary War Soldier is approximately 6-8 paces S.W. of this spot. The Daniel Ludington buried here is in fact the soldier's grandson.

Steps have been taken and a process begun to correct this mistake.

At present, repairs to Ludington markers and monuments in this cemetery have been undertaken by a direct descendant. For information on this matter please feel free to contact:

This is a bit confusing. Also see this stone, which may be the actual tombstone of Capt. Daniel Ludington (though the stone is worn and only excerpts are legible).
