CHAPTER I. ORGANIZATION OF THE COMMITTEE. Rule 1. The annual meeting for the organization of the School Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Board) shall be held in the rooms of the Board on the first Tuesday following the first Monday in January at 7:45 p. m. Rule 2. At the annual meeting the Board shall elect a Chairman from among its members. The Secretary shall call the roll and each member shall answer stating his choice for Chairman or refusing to vote. The votes of a majority of the members shall be required to elect. Rule 3. In the absence of the Chairman at any meeting the Board shall elect in the manner outlined above, a Chairman pro tem.
