MURIEL T. PHELAN

Muriel, who entered Holyoke High from the Metcalf School, has been very active during her three years here. She is a member of the Rooters' Club, and as a member of the Dramatic Club, took part in the hit play "Junior Miss" in her Junior year. Muriel is also on the literary staff of the Herald and is a member of the Yearbook Staff. Because of her pleasant manner and the ease in which she makes friends, Muriel is one of the most popular girls in our class. Her favorite sports are golfing, skating, swimming, and above all, dancing. Next fall Muriel plans to take a course in college. Baby Picture.

EUGENE J. PICARD

"Jeep" is a Lawrence Junior High graduate and studied a General Course at Holyoke High. He' likes baseball, basketball, football and swimming. His hobby is collecting coins. Immediately after his graduation he hopes to join the Armed Forces of America.
SHIRLEY A. PICARD
SHIRLEY A. PICARD

"Shirl" is a graduate of the Lawrence School, and since her entrance into H.H.S. she has been active in the Rooters' Club Shirley's hobbies are playing the piano, dancing, swimming and skating. "Shirl" has taken the Nurses' Preparatory Course, and after graduation plans to enter Nurses' Training. Shirley, with her big brown eyes and pleasant smile, will make a perfect nurse.

HELEN A. PIETROWSKI

"Helen" who is one of the prettiest and most popular girls in our class is a graduate of Mater Dolorosa School. She is a member of the Rooters' Club, and the Student Council. "Helen" enjoys swimming, dancing, knitting, and horseback riding. "Helen's" sunny disposition and sparkling smile have won her a host of friends at H.H.S. After graduation, Helen plans to enter Commercial College.
