BERNICE PASSO

"Bess" is an outstanding member of the Joseph Metcalf alumni. While at Holyoke High, she didn't know the words "give up" and as a result she has battled the tide of hardships and rolled back defeat. Her rule of conduct, aiming to satisfy all and injure none, has made her an honest and respected person; Always aspiring to help others, "Bess" will take nurse's training after graduation. She enjoys such sports as swimming, dancing, and bowling and is an active member of the Rooters' Club.
JACQUELINE T. PELLETIER
JACQUELINE T. PELLETIER

"Jackie" entered H.H.S. from the Lawrence Junior High. She belongs to the Rooters' Club, and the A Capella Choir. "Jackie" has a friendly disposition and a charming personality. Her hobbies are music, bicycling, dancing, skating, and swimming. "Jackie", who is an exceptionally talented pianist, wants to go to music school and study to be a concert pianist.

"Ben" is a graduate of Joseph Metcalf Junior High and studied a General Course at Holyoke High. His activities included the band, orchestra and the A Cappella Choir. Football, basketball, swimming and dancing are his favorite sports. After a stretch in the U. S. Navy, "Ben" plans to enter college.
JAMES K. PETERSON
JAMES K. PETERSON

"Pete" graduated from H. B. Lawrence Junior High and was a Commercial Course student. Baseball is his favorite sport and his hobby is building model airplanes. "Pete" hopes to be a member of the Fire Department someday.
