ELIZABETH A. SCHIMKE "Betty" is an alumna of the West Street Junior High School. Reading is her specialty, but she likes to dance also "Betty's" pleasant disposition makes her well liked by everyone. After she graduates, "Betty" plans to enter a Nurses Training school. |

ROBERT E. SCHMIDLE "Bob", who came to Holyoke High from the Joseph Metcalf School, is taking the Commercial Course. He uses his height to good advantage in playing his favorite sports: football, basketball, and baseball. After graduation, "Bob" intends to enter the Navy. |

GERTRUDE 0. SEIFFERT "Gretchen" is a graduate of the West Street Junior High School. She belongs to the Dramatic Club. Gertrude is especially interested in reading, hiking, and dancing. "Gretchen" with her happy-go-lucky disposition hopes to become a "Woman in White". |

EDWARD J. SENAY Too much cannot be said about "Snakey." He has played on two championship H. H. S. teams and in his senior year was a three letter man. "Ed" also was selected as all Western Massachusetts back. He entered from Blessed Sacrament and was elected president of the Student Council in his senior year. He plans to continue his education after graduation. Many colleges will welcome him. |
