FRED RICHARD POWERS

"Butch" was well known for his quiet but jolly ways. He has won many friends since his arrival at Metcalf. Butch had a wonderful personality and always had a helping hand for everyone. His favorite subjects were social, physical, and science. Fred collected stamps and coins. "Butch", has always been an honor student. His future plans include Annapolis and he will, no doubt, be one of our great Admirals.

JOAN SOPHIE PRYCH

"Joanie" was another of Metcalf's leading girls. She gained many friends since her arrival at Metcalf, and we are sure chat she will gain many more in the future. Her name was one of the top names on the list of activity girls. Joan was leader of both marching and twirling. She was also one of our peppy cheerleaders and she was very much interested in basketball, baseball, skating, and swimming. English was her favorite subject.

JOHN THOMAS REIDY, JR.

He's reaching for a basket! . . . he makes it! and the crowd goes wild! ! ! When this occurs, you may be sure that the hero receiving all the cheering is our co-captain John Reidy, better known as "Rajah." His good-natured disposition and quick wit have always kept everyone in stitches. "Rajah" has the unusual ability to be able to make the saddest person feel like singing. We will always remember our likable friend, "Rajah."

GERALD PAUL ROME

"Jerry" is an alumnus of the Kirtland School and has been very popular while at Metcalf. He is quite a basketball player and is the envy of many coaches of opposing teams. "Jerry" has a keen sense of humor and will no doubt enter radio as a comedian. None of us will ever forget the many hilarious bits of entertainment provided by Gerald in assembly, in class, and in the corridors. Look out, Milton Berle!
