Student Council This was really a trial year for the Council, since it was a New Organization here at Metcalf. However, under Miss Moriarty's direction it came through with flying colors. It was to us, a case of democracy in action. Each and every one of us was represented through our class representatives. The Council accomplished many worthwhile objectives this year. It began with the courtesy drive and kept up the good work by creating a plan whereby each home room would select a "Good Citizen of The Month". We, of course, cannot overlook the fact that if everyone had not co-operated, it would not have been such a huge success. Members of the Student Council were identified by their purple and white arm bands, bearing the initials S. C. We were very happy to have been the ones to help introduce the Student Council here at Metcalf. Here's hoping it has many more successful years. Members of the Student Council this year were: Richard Stebbins, President; Myrna Dubbrin, Vice-President; Helen Eichhorn, Secretary; Lewis Green, Treasurer; Judy Cain, Barbara Golden, James Montcalm, Esther Whitmore, Neil Sheehan, John Flahive, Henry Padden, David Barrington, Edward Brennan, Barbara Schmidle, Joan Long, Carolyn Platts, Veronica Frost, Judy Halpern, Marion Dobrowolski, Stephen Kapliniski, Michael Blum and Richard Garvin.
