Postcard Introduction Image

Holyoke, Massachusetts

Looking through a group of postcards that represent a city or town can provide an interesting way to view its history. Old postcards depict elements of the town people have often been most proud of: Buildings, schools, churches, geographical features and scenery, recreational activities, employers, scenes of city streets, military, sports, monuments and even well known citizens.

Take a look through these images of Holyoke, predominantly published during the early 1900s, and you will see many such postcards.

Images may be viewed by looking through any of the pages showing thumbnail images, or through a text listing, where the cards are organized by categories and subjects.
