We had a very complete and successful intramural athletic program this year. This pro-gram not only gave every boy the chance to develop his athletic abilities but also gave him valuable lessons in sportsmanship. Pennants were awarded to the winning sections in football, soccer, and basketball.

The football pennants were won by sections 3 M, 2 Gr, and 1 H.

Torn Roberts, Wilfred Beaudry and Jimmy Dupuis led 1 H to the football, soccer, and basket-ball titles in the seventh grade. They blazed through a terrific year, compiling the best record of the season.

Sections 3 L, 2 Gr, and 1 H. captured the soccer pennants. Good soccer talent was displayed by section 3L, especially by James Lyle, Gary Gerhardt and Fred Powers.

During the winter, section 3M won the ninth grade basketball title with Dave Moriarty, John Flahive, and Howard Greenberg starring. Jr. 2H, led by Clark Wall, Billy Deslippe, and Joe Wooler, won the eighth grade division; and Wilfred Beaudry and Tommy Robert's sparked Jr. 1H to the seventh grade title.

This year the annual tennis tournament was held at Crosier field courts, but the Annual went to press before the new champions were crowned.

The baseball team was preparing for its first game as we went to press, and, judging from practice sessions, James Lyle, Edward McNulty, David Hinkley, Dave Moriarty, John Reidy, William Deslippe and Clark Wall showed enough fielding and hitting prowess to make the varsity.

Our athletic program included swimming lessons for both boys and girls during the last two months of the school year.
